No Teardrops for Abby

A young student at Thomas Telford School has just published her first novel. Fifteen year old Abby Buchan Howard of Trench has written a romantic novel which follows the long life and loves of Tessa Harvey. She began writing the book, called 'A Teardrop of Love' when she was just eleven years old, taking her experiences of life as the basis for the story and basing some of her main characters on her best friends.
Librarian at Thomas Telford School, Mrs Margaret Howells commented: "We are very proud of Abby’s achievements and a good number of staff and students are interested in buying her book. It’s very exciting for us to have an author in our midst with a novel available on Amazon and we wish her well with her future projects!"
Headmaster, Sir Kevin Satchwell said: "I am delighted by Abby’s success. She is taking some of her GCSE exams this summer so she has obviously had to work incredibly hard to produce a novel as well as keeping up with all her studies."
Abby added: "It’s a great feeling to actually see my book in print. I’m surprised but very pleased with all the attention it is getting."
Abby has written other novels and is working through the laborious task of proof reading them prior to publication.
