Minibus Gift for SchoolThu, 03 Feb 2011A very hardworking group of parents at Thomas Telford School has raised the cash to replace the School’s worn out minibus. The parents on the Social Development Committee organised a wide variety of fund raising events which have included Golf Days, the annual Summer Fayre, Auction of Promises, Treasure Hunts, Race Nights and twice yearly Prize Draws. Headmaster, Sir Kevin Satchwell, paid tribute to the parents: “They are a fantastic group whose enthusiasm and motivation have raised the funds needed much more quickly than we had anticipated. It takes a good deal of time and hard work to organise fund raising events. Our grateful thanks are due not only to them but also to the many parents and friends of the School who have supported these events. The students and staff will make excellent use of the new vehicle.” Photo: Mr Bob Price from Furrows, Telford hands over the keys to Mrs Sarah Rock and other parents with the Head Girls and Boys at Thomas Telford School.
