Engineering Education SchemeMon, 16 Apr 2012Harry Rogers, Amber Richards, Oliver Leason and Elliot Mallen are currently working with Mahle as part of the Engineering Education Scheme (EES). Mahle is a large multinational company with a big site in Telford. The students have been challenged to develop a product that will reduce the paper fibres escaping from air filter paper used in the production process at the factory. The students will present their project to judges next week at the final EES exhibition in Solihull. In the meantime, Mahle engineers are so pleased with the solution that our students have designed that a production engineer, Tim Male (a former Thomas Telford student) and £20,000 have been assigned to develop their idea into production. The students received outstanding help from their EES support engineer, Pete Roberts. Congratulations to Harry, Amber, Oliver and Elliot for their hard work and our good wishes for their presentation. Your browser does not support video.
